HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I hope all is well with you all and that you enjoyed your Holiday and New Year!

I just want to let you all know that I started another blog so that I can keep this one strictly hair related...

It will be about... well, whatever I get the urge to blog about. Beauty, politics, relationships, art, tutorials/FOTD... WHATEVER.

So, if you'd like, head on over and check it out & don't forget to subscribe.

You'll be glad you did. =)

VANGLORIOUS.

The victor writes HIStory...

Most of us don't know our history other than what was taught to us in 'American History' class.
Funny enough, going natural sparked an interest in WHY I thought it necessary to relax my hair in the first place. The things I've learned since then are heart breaking and for the lack of a better term, disgusting.

The biggest weaponry we have at our disposal is the library...

Educate yourselves and be F R E E...

We are the Yearlings...

I am finally in that magical stage of out of control growth and fullness known as the Yearling! I'm officially one year post relaxer and have 6 months until a year for my BC... I effing LOVE my fluffy-wuffy, kinky-schminky, curly-whirly hair!!!

#shoutout to all my naturalistas... I hope your journey is as fun as mine!

I guess I can start to share regimens and such since I've been fully natural [post BC] for a little over 6 months. I think I've got a little experience to boot and I'd love to share in the wealth of info that's available in the natural community...

But until then, here's a little visual stimulation from May until just earlier today...

Happy 1 Month Nappiversary to ME!!!!

Today marks 4 weeks that I have been natural and 6 months and 2 weeks since my last perm...

I remember how it felt like it would be FOREVER before my hair grew to a length that I would feel comfortable with wearing loose... But I was wrong.

Q: Can I tell if I have any new growth?

A: Kinda'.
I've dyed my hair twice since I did my big chop.
[DON'T TRY THAT DUMB SHIT AT HOME]
The last dye job was last weekend. I attempted to color it honey blonde using Clairol Textures & Tones but it turned out orange... AGAIN.
[EFF YOU Proctor & Gamble]
But I was lucky because it looks good on my skin tone. SO, over the next month, I'll be using my new growth as a marker.

Pictures later? Maybe.
